Vote for the SouthCoast High School Baseball Player of the Week for April 22-28
The winner of last week’s Baseball Player of the Week poll was Fairhaven’s Scott Joseph. He had more than 49% of the vote to receive the honor.
Joseph went a combined 4-for-7 with an RBI and run scored in a pair of games against Bishop Stang and Bourne.
The previous winners were Old Colony’s Marc Donati and New Bedford’s Brent Sharples. The winner of the Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll was GNB Voc-Tech’s Illiam Santiago.

VOTE: Softball Player of the Week for April 22-28
Dylan Bradley, Apponequet
Bradley pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing six hits with three walks while striking out three against West Bridgewater. At the plate, Bradley had two hits and an RBI.
Caiden Cyr, Apponequet
Against West Bridgewater, Cy had three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs. He also had a hit against D-R.
Matt Burt, Bishop Stang
Against Nauset, Burt was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Drew Taylor, Bishop Stang
In two games, Taylor went a combined 6-for-7 with two RBIs and a run scored against Nauset.
Markus Andrews, Dartmouth
Against Durfee, Andrews went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Justin Cleves, Dartmouth
In two games, Cleves went a combined 5-for-8 with three RBIs and a run scored.
Jayden Claudio, Dartmouth
Claudio got the win over Westport in relief, giving up one run off one hit in three innings.
Colby Correia, Fairhaven
In three games, Correia went a combined four runs scored and 11 RBIs, including a three-run home run against West Bridgewater.
Tommy Marcotte, Fairhaven
Marcotte went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Somerset Berkley.

Nikko Morris, Fairhaven
Morris went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI against Case. Against West Bridgewater, he was 1-for-2 with a run scored, stolen base and RBI.
Jason Perry, Fairhaven
Perry pitched six innings in a win over West Bridgewater, allowing one unearned run on one hit and three walks while striking out nine.
Ryan Pires, Fairhaven
Pires threw a complete-game four-hitter with nine strikeouts against Somerset Berkley.
Cam Cabral, GNB Voc-Tech
In two games, Cabral had a combined four hits, including a solo home run against Case.
Jhaden Reis, GNB Voc-Tech
Against Seekonk, Reis pitched 6 ⅓ innings, striking out 11.
Joe Castelo, New Bedford
In a loss to Brockton, Castelo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored.
Marquise Gonsalves, New Bedford
In a 1-0 loss to Durfee, Gonsalves threw 6 2/3 innings of three-hit baseball.He struck out two batters and didn’t walk anyone.
Brent Sharples, New Bedford
Sharples allowed just one run in the first and threw six scoreless innings, striking out seven with three walks against Barnstable.
Jacob Delk, Old Rochester
In a 2-1 loss to D-R, Delk went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Finn Kavanaugh, Old Rochester
Kavanaugh threw seven innings in a 2-1 loss to Dighton-Rehoboth, allowing no earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven.
Isaac Strawn, Wareham
Against Avon, Strawn pitched seven complete innings, allowing one hit and no earned runs while striking out nine for Wareham’s second win of the season. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with a two-RBI double.
Jason White, Wareham
White was 3-for-3 with a triple and two singles and scored five runs against Avon.
