Time once again to vote for the Herald-Times Athlete of the Week for May 6-11.
Congratulations to last week's winner, Bloomington North pole vaulter Ethan Isles, who grabbed 58.6% of the vote (30,871) to top South softball player Taylor Crohn (31.8%).

Ally Bland, Edgewood softball
Sophomore went 2-1 on the week with the loss coming in an eight-inning pitcher's duel with Class 1A No. 1 Clay City (1-0). She gave up only two earned runs in three outings and went 4-of-11 at the plate. Tossed a six-hitter with eight strikeouts in a 5-3 win over Evansville Mater Dei then threw five innings of one-run relief in a loss to Evansville Reitz (14-10).
Connor Byon, South boys' golf
Senior fired a 77 to tie for fourth and lead the No. 8 Panthers to a 313 and a two-stroke win over No. 1 Hamilton Southeastern in the Brownsburg Invitational at The Trophy Club.
Edgewood baseball team
Huge week for the Mustangs, who won three league games to remain undefeated in Western Indiana Conference play and earned at least a share of the title for the first time since 2019. Edgewood topped Cloverdale 14-0, then rival Owen Valley 3-1 on an emotional Friday night honoring the passing of senior classmate Ian Slabaugh with a complete game by Carson Druckrey. The Mustangs bounced back Saturday to outslug Indian Creek, 15-6, to hand the Braves their only WIC loss.
Adis Hamidovic, North boys track
Sophomore won the Bloomington North Invitational discus title with his second-best throw of the season at 165-10. Also went 46-1½ in the shot put.
Xavier Hemingway, South baseball
Sophomore went all six innings against No. 8 Columbus North, allowing eight hits, three runs, two earned with no walks and two strikeouts in a tough Conference Indiana road loss.
James Lewis, Eastern Greene boys track
Senior won the 200 (22.86) and 400 (51.65) and was second in the 100 (11.23) and long jump as the T-Birds were able to repeat as champions at the SWIAC Meet.
Caden McCoy, North baseball
Senior went 5-for-9 with two homers, a double and five RBIs in three games last week against Eastern Greene, Mt. Vernon (Fortville) and Evansville North.

Taylor Monroe, Owen Valley softball
Senior bashed three home runs and scored 10 runs while going 7-for-9 with eight RBIs in wins over Eastern Greene, Indian Creek and North Daviess.
Jack Rees, Eastern Greene baseball
Junior hit .500 on the week (5-for-10) with a 1.143 OPS, three walks and two RBIs in games against Cloverdale, Bloomington North, Mitchell and Orleans.
Logan Russell, Eastern Greene boys golf
Senior fired an 84 to earn All-SWIAC honors and lead the T-Birds to third place at Phil Harris.
Maddie Santner, South girls' tennis
Senior at No. 1 singles had the only win against No. 14 Center Grove, 7-6(2), 5-7, (12-10). Finished up the week rolling to a 6-0, 6-1 win against Edgewood in a 4-1 win for the Panthers.

Senior broke the school record in the 400, previously a 49.38 by Daxton Schmidt, with a 49.10 at the Bloomington North Invitational.
