The results are in.

Stanton's Courtney Brown is the Florida Times-Union's latest First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the 2023-24 high school sports season, covering the week of April 15-20 in the Jacksonville area.

The senior scored a punt return before halftime and a 65-yard receiving touchdown with two minutes to play in the Blue Devils' 24-12 first-round flag football playoff win over Menendez.

She helped lead the Blue Devils into the regional semifinal for Class 1A and also scored 24 goals for Stanton's soccer team.

She placed first in a vote of top Northeast Florida performers that included Kaila Bing (Bishop Snyder girls track), Kelvin Brown (Baldwin boys track), William Chaves (Nease boys tennis), Grace Jones (Episcopal softball), Avery McAlister (Fletcher girls lacrosse), Ethan Strickland (Atlantic Coast baseball), Mason Taylor (St. Augustine boys lacrosse) and Sam Wainwright (Suwannee boys weightlifting).

It's time to vote for Florida Times-Union's next First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the week of April 22-27, 2024.

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com.

This week's voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour. Vote at jacksonville.com/sports.

Here are the nominees from April 22-27.

Jasmine Cross, Fletcher flag football

The junior quarterback created five touchdowns, two rushing and three passing, to upset No. 1 Fleming Island 33-12 in the Class 2A regional semifinals.

Kaitlyn Gilmore, Bishop Kenny softball

The senior batted .500 for the week and pitched 14 shutout innings with 25 strikeouts and four hits allowed as the Crusaders defeated Bolles, Paxon and Menendez.

Jackson Hadden, Christ's Church baseball

The senior batted .750 for the week with a double, two triples and 10 RBI, and completed the regular season with zero earned runs and 11 hits allowed in 32 innings.

Roman Mollicone, Fleming Island boys track

The senior won the 800-meter run in 1:54.05, a top-10 time in Florida for 2024, to help the Golden Eagles to the District 4-3A team championship.

Janay Moorer, Creekside girls track

The senior ran a personal-best 11.83 to win the 100-meter dash and also won the 200 in 24.33, lifting the Knights to the District 2-4A team trophy.

Charlie Neal, Episcopal boys tennis

The freshman won all of his matches at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles as the Eagles beat Gainesville Oak Hall and P.K. Yonge to win Region 2-2A.

Nolan Preston, Bolles boys lacrosse

The sophomore scored a career-high five goals in the Bulldogs' 20-6 first-round playoff victory against Tallahassee Maclay.

Emily Sammons, Nease girls tennis

The freshman won both her singles and doubles matches in tiebreakers to help the Panthers overcome top seed Spruce Creek for the Region 1-4A championship.

J.J. Tayag, Bartram Trail boys volleyball

The junior setter recorded 57 assists, 15 digs and six aces in the Bears' victories against Menendez and St. Augustine, extending their winning streak to six matches.
