Von Miller to play against Broncos for the first time on Monday

For the first time since the Denver Broncos traded him to the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 1, 2021, pass rusher Von Miller is set to play against his former team in Week 10.

Miller, who now plays for the Buffalo Bills, will face the Broncos on Monday Night Football on Nov. 13, just over two years after he was traded. Miller went on to win the Super Bowl with the Rams after that trade, then he signed with the Bills during free agency in 2022.

Miller played ten and a half seasons in Denver before the two sides split up. During his time with the Broncos, Miller set a franchise record for the most sacks in the regular season (110.5). He also recorded 6.5 sacks in seven playoff games with Denver, including an MVP performance in Super Bowl 50.

Overall, Miller has totaled 123.5 regular-season sacks and 10.5 postseason sacks in his career. Miller returned from last season’s ACL injury five weeks ago and he is still seeking his first sack of the 2023 season. Going up against Russell Wilson — who has been sacked an average of 3.25 times per game this year — Miller’s first sack of the 2023 campaign could easily come against his former team.
