Vols’ defensive back to enter NCAA transfer portal

Tennessee redshirt senior defensive back Warren Burrell plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Burrell appeared in 41 games from 2019-23 for the Vols. He recorded 91 tackles, three tackles for a loss, one interception and one fumble recovery.

Burrell came to Tennessee from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia.

Burrell, along with Tyler Baron, John Campbell, Kwauze Garland, Gabe Jeudy-Lally, Bru McCoy, Tamarion McDonald, Omarr Norman-Lott, Jabari Small, Omari Thomas, Brandon Turnage and Wesley Walker took part in Tennessee’s senior day ceremony ahead of the regular-season finale against Vanderbilt. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
