VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: West Morgan gets wins over Danville, Clements
Sep. 8—TRINITY — Brooklyn Hunt had a team-high 17 kills as West Morgan picked up wins over Danville (25-23, 25-20) and Clements (29-27, 27-25) on Thursday.
Victoria Parrish had 13 kills for the Rebels, while Kylei Russell added 40 assists and 19 digs. Zoey Brewington had 45 digs.
West Morgan (9-6) opens area play on Tuesday at Priceville.

Priceville drops pair: Priceville dropped a pair of matches on Thursday, falling to Jasper 2-0 (25-19, 25-22) and Brewer 2-1 (26-24, 17-25, 18-16).
Abby Langlois had 10 kills to lead the Bulldogs against Jasper, while Maddi Kennedy added 10 digs. Ashlyn Johnson finished with 16 assists.
Against Brewer, Langlois had a team-high 12 kills and Emmy Sherwood added 11 kills. Johnson had 22 assists and 17 digs.

Hartselle sweeps tri-match: Hartselle picked up a pair of wins on Tuesday, defeating West Morgan 2-0 and Madison Academy 2-1 for a tri-match sweep.
Mary Hannah Boyer had a team-high seven kills against West Morgan, while Amber Holshouser added four kills, 18 assists, five aces and four digs. Mary Frances Itsede had four kills.
Against Madison Academy, Lily Douglass and Ashley Holshouser had six kills each and Virginia Kate Hoyle had eight digs and three aces.
In the third match, Madison Academy topped West Morgan 2-0 (25-23, 25-22). Hunt had 13 kills for the Rebels, while Parrish added 12 kills. Brewington finished with 23 digs.

East Lawrence falls on road: Lauren Garner had a team-high 10 kills and 20 digs as East Lawrence dropped a match 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 24-26, 25-16) at St. John Paul II on Tuesday.
Sydney Hurst had nine kills for the Eagles, while Makayla Austin added 21 assists and 12 digs.
