MADISON -- Spring practice quickly revealed that Wisconsin lacks experienced reserves along the offensive line.
The UW staff began addressing that problem on Monday by securing a commitment from Leyton Nelson, who played two seasons at Vanderbilt before entering the transfer portal.

AJ Blazek, preparing for his first season as UW's offensive coach, oversaw Vanderbilt's line for the last three seasons.
Nelson, 6-foot-6 and 308 pounds, is from Orlando, Florida. He was in for one game (two plays) as a freshman in 2022 and played a total of 60 plays over 11 games last season.
