United States Women's National Team legend and Delran native Carli Lloyd announced on Instagram Wednesday that she is pregnant.

In her post, Lloyd says she is "thankful" for her doctors and husband supporting her through this "rollercoaster of a time.”

Lloyd also discusses how she had a "hard time getting pregnant" and says that while "her story is a happy one" she knows not everyone's can be.

Lloyd says she wants more women to speak about their troubles with this topic as the women who previously spoke out on their issues help Lloyd get through hers.

The 41-year-old Lloyd retired from professional soccer in 2021.

The USWNT legend represented the shield for 12 years playing in multiple Summer Olympics and FIFA Women's World Cup.
