USC 2024 target Elijah Brown named an Elite 11 finalist
The 2023 Elite 11 Finals event is almost here. Some of the nation’s top signal-callers have already been invited to Los Angeles for the premier annual quarterback showcase, which takes place June 14-16.
Notable names such as Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Jameis Winston, Bryce Young, Jared Goff, Kyler Murray and Andrew Luck among many other NFL and college stars have participated in the event over the years. There could be another potential USC Trojan quarterback included in the Elite 11 fraternity this season. USC 2024 target Elijah Brown of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana (Calif.) was recently announced as a finalist.
Brown ranks as the No. 33 player in the country and is the top ranked uncommitted quarterback in the class.
With Dylan Raiola committing to the Georgia Bulldogs for 2024, it seems that Elijah Brown is very likely to become a USC Trojan soon.
The 6-foot-1 1/2, 197-pound senior has thrived at Mater Dei. He threw for 2,785 yards and 31 touchdowns while completing 68% of his passes last season. He is 29-1 as a starter with a state and national title under his belt.
“Brown plays with a poise and maturity rarely seen at the HS level,” said 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins. “He has started every game since his freshman season and has never looked overwhelmed while playing against top-level competition. He’s a very accurate thrower and will stand in the pocket as long as possible to get a throw off. He’s one of the better deep-ball throwers as well and has a really natural feel for throwing on time and throwing players open. He doesn’t run much but is a good athlete and does a nice job making that initial pass rusher miss and extending a play.”
