Player of the Year
Fanta Minteh, Broadfording
Minteh, a junior, was named Mason Dixon Christian Conference player of the year for a second straight season and led the Lions (25-10) to the best winning percentage by a county team and their second straight conference tournament title. She led the county in scoring at 20.4 points per game, shooting 50% overall and 32% from 3-point range, and added 8.6 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 2.5 assists per game.
All-Washington County First Team
Danica Bennett, St. Maria Goretti
Bennett, a junior, averaged 10.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks for the Gaels, who finished 17-9 in their final season.
Olivia Bolduc, St. Maria Goretti
Bolduc, a sophomore, averaged 12.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.3 steals for the Gaels.
Claire Bono, Smithsburg
Bono, a freshman, ranked third in the county in scoring at 16.1 points per game and added 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 steals, 2.7 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest for the Leopards (15-8), who tied for the top winning percentage by a county public-school team. She was a CMC small-school first-team honoree.
Kilah Dandridge, St. Maria Goretti
Dandridge, a junior, led the Gaels in scoring at 13.0 points per game and added 6.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest.
Haylee Hartman, Boonsboro
Hartman, a senior, averaged 12.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals for the Warriors. She was named to the CMC small-school second team.
Skyla Mastronardi, Smithsburg
Mastronardi, a sophomore, was the runner-up for player of the year honors. She led public-school players in scoring at 17.5 points per game and added 6.2 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 4.0 assists. She was selected to the CMC small-school first team.
Emma Smith, Grace Academy
Smith, a senior, led the Knights, who finished 12-8, in scoring average (11.4 points per game) and shooting percentage (41%) while adding 9.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
