Undrafted forward Dexter Dennis to sign Exhibit 10 contract with Mavericks

Former Texas A&M forward Dexter Dennis, who went undrafted this year, will reportedly sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the Dallas Mavericks, according to Richard Stayman of MavsDraft.com.

His agency, One Motive Sports, confirmed the news on Friday.

Dennis averaged 9.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 39.2% shooting from the field in 34 games last season as a fifth-year senior. He scored in double figures 17 times, including a season-high 19 points in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The 6-foot-6 Dennis played with the Orlando Magic in the NBA Summer League. He averaged nine points, three rebounds and one steal on 35.7% shooting from 3-point range in four appearances.

Dennis will likely participate with the Mavericks in training camp and spend next season in the G League with the Texas Legends as part of his Exhibit 10 contract. He can receive a bonus of up to $75,000 if he is waived and stays with the Legends for at least 60 days.
