UNC basketball players get Air Jordan 1 shoe early
One of the best Jordan Brand releases of the summer will take place on July 22nd as the Air Jordan 1 “UNC toe” will officially release. As consumers look forward to trying to get their hands on the Carolina-inspired colorway of the iconic shoe, Tar Heels’ basketball players received a special surprise recently.
The program was gifted the shoe earlier than the release date, a big perk that comes with playing for the program.

You can see above just how excited the guys are to receive the shoe early on and to be able to wear them right away.
Instead of nubuck material, this shoe goes with full leather featuring white on the quarter panel, Carolina Blue on the heel, ankle flap and toebox while black accents are also spotted throughout. It does have the Nike Air branding as well as the Air Jordan branding.
A similar colorway came out a few years back but the big difference here is the black on the overlay and the Carolina Blue on the toebox. This will still be a big sought-after release when it drops for $180 at select retailers as well as online including the SNKRS app.
