UFC Fight Night 206 post-event facts: Jailton Almeida delivers shutout in heavyweight debut

The UFC closed its May schedule on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 206, which went down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and saw six of 11 fights end in a finish.

The main event was among the bunch to go to the scorecards. Ketlen Vieira (13-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) edged former UFC champ Holly Holm (14-6 MMA, 7-6 UFC) by split decision in the women’s bantamweight headliner, marking her second consecutive win over a former UFC champion.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $127,000.

[autotag]Michel Pereira[/autotag], [autotag]Santiago Ponzinibbio[/autotag], [autotag]Chidi Njokuani[/autotag] and [autotag]Chase Hooper[/autotag] earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 206 fight-night bonuses.

The UFC sold VIP tickets to fans for UFC Fight Night 206, but the promotion did not make public the total number of tickets sold or the gate.

Betting favorites went 8-3 on the card.

Betting favorites fell to 11-6 in UFC headliners this year.

Vieira’s seven victories in UFC women’s bantamweight competition are tied for third-most in divisional history behind Amanda Nunes (11) and Raquel Pennington (10).

Vieira has earned six of her seven UFC victories by decision.

Holm fell to 4-6 in her past 10 UFC appearances dating back to November 2015 when she won the UFC women’s bantamweight title.

Holm has suffered four of her six career losses by decision.
