Two Lady Vols post personal bests at swim trials
Two Lady Vol swimmers recorded personal best times in their events Monday in Wave II of the US Swim Trials.
In the 100-meter breaststroke, Alexis Yager finished 21st at CHI Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She touched the wall in 1 minute, 9.39 seconds, shaving nearly a second off her previous best time in a long-course meter race.
Yager hails from Batavia, Illinois.
In the 400-meter freestyle, Tennessee’s Kristen Stege recorded a personal best in the event as she posted a time of 4:15.02 and finished 21st in the overall standings.
Wave II of the US Swim trials continues Tuesday with the 200-meter women’s freestyle, the 200-meter men’s butterfly, the women’s 200-meter medley relay and the 1,500-meter women’s freestyle.
