Twitter reacts to Steph Curry winning American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe

Steph Curry will have to make some room in his trophy case.

Add American Century Championship tournament winner to Curry’s already long-decorated list of accomplishments. On Sunday, the Golden State Warriors guard sealed his first win in the celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.

With former professional tennis player Mardy Fish chasing down Curry’s lead during the final round of the tournament, the two-time Most Valuable Player buried a clutch walk-off eagle putt on the 18th green to seal the tournament victory.

On his way to winning the tournament, Curry caught fire, hitting long-distance putts along with sinking an incredible hole-in-one from 152 yards out on Saturday.

Curry finished with 75 points to win the tournament, two points higher than Fish.

Along with being the first active athlete to win the tournament since 2000, Curry became the first Black golfer to ever win the celebrity golf tournament in its 34-year history.

Following Curry’s historic win on the golf course in Lake Tahoe, Twitter exploded with different reactions. Here’s a look at what Andre Iguodala, Ryan Clark, Jerry Rice and others were saying on Sunday afternoon.
