Trace McSorley to start vs. Buccaneers as Colt McCoy ruled out with concussion

The Arizona Cardinals will face quarterback Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Christman night at home without quarterbacks Kyler Murray or Colt McCoy.

Murray is out for the season with a  torn ACL and head coach Kliff Kingsbury ruled out McCoy for the game in Week 16 as he works through concussion protocol.

That means Trace McSorley will make his first career start.

McSorley has appeared in four games this season but got the most work last week, coming in early in the second half to replace McCoy. He completed 7-of-15 passes for 95 yards and two interceptions in a 24-15 loss.

He has appeared in seven games in his career. He has completed 46.2% of his passes for 256 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.
