Meyersdale senior running back Ian Brenneman was voted Somerset County Football Athlete of the Week for his efforts Aug. 25.
Brenneman rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown in a win over Curwensville.

Boys soccer
Windber 2, United 1 (OT): Cayden Thompson scored in overtime to lift the Ramblers over the Lions.
Damian Miller added a goal for Windber.
Somerset 1, Penn Cambria 1 (2OT): Alex Smith tallied a goal for the Golden Eagles in a 1-1 tie against the Panthers.
Conemaugh Township 7, West Shamokin 1: Jackson Sotosky delivered a hat trick and two assists to lead Conemaugh Township to a win.
Dillon Difibaugh, Colton Lehman, Dylan Giffin and Caven Miller each scored a goal.
North Star 3, Southern Fulton 2: Sean Hemminger netted two goals for the Cougars in a narrow victory.
Parker Scherer added a goal and two assists for North Star.
Girls soccer
North Star 2, Southern Fulton 0: Baylee Sleek netted two goals, and Alicyn Manges tallied two assists to propel the Cougars to a win.
Abby Barnick pitched the shutout.
Windber 14, Ligonier Valley 0: Riley Brubaker delivered six goals and two assists for the Ramblers in a romp of the Rams.
Heather Carney tallied a hat trick and two assists while Mariah Andrews added two goals and two assists. Rylee Baer had the shutout.
Cambria Heights 5, Berlin Brothersvalley 1: Mercy Sechler scored the lone goal for the Mountaineers in a setback.
McConnellsburg 3, Rockwood 1: Addie Barkman scored off an assist from Delaney Gould for the Rockets in a setback to the Spartans.
Conemaugh Township 5, Westmont Hilltop 1: Izzy Slezak tallied four goals and Ashlyn Fetterman added one for Conemaugh Township in a non-conference triumph.
Volleyball
Shade 3, Hyndman 0: Madalyn Rapsky tallied 14 assists and Deborah Bozovich contributed seven kills in the Panthers' 25-5, 25-8, 25-5 triumph.
Payton Maddy and Kennedy Landis combined for eight kills.
North Star 3, Rockwood 0: Suzy Walker provided seven kills and four aces for the Cougars in a 25-22, 25-19, 25-18 win over the Rockets.
Brooke Cannin added six kills for North Star.
Windber 3, Meyersdale 0: Jordyn Bobak recorded nine kills and 17 service points as the Ramblers swept the Red Raiders 25-20, 25-21, 29-27.
Noelle Bobak contributed five blocks and four kills along with eight service points for Windber. Maggie Manippo added five aces while Molly Birkhimer tallied 19 assists.
Berlin Brothersvalley 3, Ferndale 0: Lynndee Ickes provided 13 kills and Regan Lauer added six for the Mountaineers in a 25-12, 25-15, 25-10 win.
Cayley Poorbaugh had 12 digs and Lexi Fairman dished out 17 assists for Berlin.
Somerset 3, Chestnut Ridge 1: Olivia Svonavec tallied 16 kills and seven digs for the Golden Eagles in a 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18 triumph.
Eve Housley had 12 kills, 16 digs and six aces for Somerset. Abby Ledney provided eight kills and six digs while Emily Rush racked up 41 assists.
Salisbury-Elk Lick 3, Lighthouse Christian Academy 0: Ava Hummel contributed 10 service points and six kills for the Elks in a 25-3, 25-8, 25-10 win.
Taylor Short had 16 service points while Makenna Chase added 12 for Salisbury.

Rockwood 10, Forbes Road 1: Davis Bruening, Max Trimpey and Alex Reifs-Martinez each had a hat trick while Jamison Ives provided four assists as the Rockets cruised to a victory.
Girls soccer
Somerset 7, Westmont Hilltop 3: Lily Witt recorded a hat trick and an assist to guide the Golden Eagles past the Hilltoppers.
Kamryn Ross tallied two goals and an assist. Rihanna Hillegas provided a goal and an assist while Josie Steele added two helpers.

Shanksville-Stonycreek 4, Windber 1: Emma Ferko and Rayleigh Edwards picked up singles wins while the team of Dakota Weyant and Florence Hufford earned a doubles victory to lead the Vikings past the Ramblers.
Ariana Hill picked up the lone win for Windber.
Volleyball
Windber 3, Conemaugh Valley 0: Skylee Miller tallied 16 service points and Lili Grillo added 14 as the Ramblers downed the Blue Jays 25-17, 27-25, 25-19.
Richland 3, North Star 1: The Cougars fell to the Rams 25-14, 25-19, 24-26, 25-15.
Shade 3, Rockwood 2: Deborah Bozovich racked up 17 kills and 10 aces to lead the Panthers past the Rockets 25-17, 25-17, 24-26, 21-25, 15-4.
Kori Boozer had 32 digs and Madalyn Rapsky provided 22 assists for Shade.
