Meyersdale senior running back Ian Brenneman was voted Somerset County Football Athlete of the Week for his efforts Aug. 25.
Brenneman rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown in a win over Curwensville.

Conemaugh Township 7, West Shamokin 1: Jackson Sotosky delivered a hat trick and two assists to lead Conemaugh Township to a win.
Dillon Difibaugh, Colton Lehman, Dylan Giffin and Caven Miller each scored a goal.
North Star 3, Southern Fulton 2: Sean Hemminger netted two goals for the Cougars in a narrow victory.
Parker Scherer added a goal and two assists for North Star.
Girls soccer
North Star 2, Southern Fulton 0: Baylee Sleek netted two goals, and Alicyn Manges tallied two assists to propel the Cougars to a win.

Shade 3, Hyndman 0: Madalyn Rapsky tallied 14 assists and Deborah Bozovich contributed seven kills in the Panthers' 25-5, 25-8, 25-5 triumph.
Payton Maddy and Kennedy Landis combined for eight kills.
North Star 3, Rockwood 0: Suzy Walker provided seven kills and four aces for the Cougars in a 25-22, 25-19, 25-18 win over the Rockets.
Brooke Cannin added six kills for North Star.
Windber 3, Meyersdale 0: Jordyn Bobak recorded nine kills and 17 service points as the Ramblers swept the Red Raiders 25-20, 25-21, 29-27.
