Top performers from South Jersey softball from fourth week of regular season

Here are some of the last week's top performers on diamonds across our seven-county coverage area in South Jersey.

Burlington County Scholastic League

Delaney Kroll, Cinnaminson. The sophomore reached base 10 times, helping lead the Pirates to a 5-1 mark as the team advanced to the championship game of the Hammonton Invitational. Kroll collected nine knocks during the stretch, raising her team-high hit total to 21 and her batting average north of .400. She also has 18 runs scored on the season.

Emma LaCour, Delran. The senior extended her hitting streak to seven as she delivered eight hits in four games. She has at least one knock in 10 of the Bears’ 11 games and boasts a .417 batting average with 15 hits. She started the week with a 3-hit performance against Hammonton.

Aubrey Wagner, Palmyra. The senior piled up the numbers with nine hits and eight RBIs in four games for the Panthers. Wagner raised her batting average to .571. She has hit in seven straight games and nine of her last 10.

Colonial Conference

Olivia George, Gloucester. The senior twirled a masterpiece in a 2-1 win over Cherokee on April 23. George allowed one hit, struck out 10 and didn’t issue a free pass as the Lions locked up the win in nine innings. She has won three of her last four starts in the circle and boasts an ERA south of 1.00.

Jordan Strauss, Haddon Township. The junior extended her hitting streak to six as she produced 12 knocks over the stretch. She closed out the week with a 4-for-4 performance with three runs scored and two RBIs in a win over Holy Cross on April 27. Strauss is batting .459 with solid numbers across the board, including 17 runs scored, 19 RBIs and four homers.

Ryann Tredinnick, Haddonfield. With two hits, including a homer and three RBIs, the sophomore powered the Haddons to a 4-3 win over Pennsauken on April 25. Tredinnick is batting .533 (8-for-15) with 11 RBIs on the season.

Milestone: Audubon head coach Erin Small earned her 400th career win on Friday. On Senior Night, the team delivered the milestone with a 4-0 win over Bordentown under the lights at Green Wave Park. Alaina Copsetta threw a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts while Emily Bobo, Peyton Marrone and Abigail Tole had RBIs for Audubon.

Olympic Conference

Quinn Cunningham, Paul VI. The junior collected three hits, including a double and triple and three RBIs as the Eagles knocked off previously unbeaten Eastern, 4-3, on April 24.

Sophia Presto, Moorestown. The senior homered in three games and drove in seven runs during the stretch. Presto had a pair of three-hit games and had eight knocks total during the week. She went 3-for-4 with a homer and six RBIs in a 17-6 win over Cherry Hill East on April 26.

Rebecca Taylor, Lenape. The junior closed out her week batting .428 with six hits and four runs scored. Taylor drove in four runs in an 11-0 win over Cherry Hill East on April 27. She’s batting .429 with 18 hits, 14 runs scored and 14 RBIs for the season.

Tri-County Conference

Juliana Baez, Delsea. The sophomore slugged four home runs and had 17 RBIs during three of the Crusaders’ six games last week. She went 5-for-5 with a career-high eight RBIs in a 19-8 win over Cumberland. In a 23-13 loss to Sanford Calhoun (N.Y.) in the Fred Powell Invitational, she went 3-for-4 with two round-trippers and five RBIs. She leads the Crusaders with 21 hits and 24 RBIs while batting .457.

Riley Mikiewicz, Triton. The sophomore went 3-for-4 with two homers, a double and four RBIs as the Mustangers earned a 15-12 win over Williamstown in an April 22 slugfest. Mikiewicz raised her team-high hit total to 22 and RBI count to 19.

Aubrey Miller, Gloucester County Tech. With four multi-hit games and eight RBIs last week, the senior helped the Cheetahs go 3-2 over a six-day span. She homered and drove in four runs in a 15-1 rout of Washington Township on April 24, and two days later, had three hits and two RBIs in a 16-11 victory over Clearview. She also recorded all three wins in the circle.

Cape-Atlantic League

Ava Fisher, St. Joseph. The senior reached another milestone as she joined the 100-hit club. In an 11-1 win over Millville, she homered twice and drove in four runs. Fisher is batting .556 with 20 hits, raising her career total to 103. She’s three RBIs shy of the century mark and has 21 career homers.

Camryn Johnson, Buena. The senior extended her hitting streak to 12 games as she collected eight knocks in five contests. She leads the team in batting average (.526), hits (20), runs (24), walks (11) and stolen bases (15).

Leah Mears, Vineland. The Fighting Clan reeled off CAL wins over Egg Harbor Township, Cedar Creek and St. Joseph before earning the Betty Howell Tournament title with three more victories. Mears was in the center of the action with eight hits, seven runs scored and six RBIs. She’s batting .489 with 22 knocks and 21 RBIs.
