Top cross country times in Livingston County overhauled after fast meets

With cross country season nearing its championship season, the past week has been encouraging for Livingston County’s three state-ranked teams.

The 14 fastest times this season for Brighton’s No. 1-ranked (Division 1) boys all took place within the past week on typically fast Portage Invitational and Huron Meadows Metropark courses. Pinckney’s boys, who just vaulted from No. 7 to No. 1 in Division 2, had their six fastest times while winning the championship at Portage.

Brighton’s third-ranked girls ran 13 of their top 16 times this season at Portage or Huron Meadows.

As a result, this week’s Livingston County cross country honor roll bears little resemblance to last week’s.
