Tiger Woods wraps up efficient Tour Championship round in the lead
Speaking on Wednesday before he teed off at the Tour Championship, Tiger Woods noted that he hasn’t yet had all parts of his game click the same way at the same time. Thursday, he gave us hints of what that might look like when he does get it all together. He’s not there yet, but he’s very close.
Woods bogeyed the first hole of the day, then began chipping away at East Lake, carding two birdies on the front nine and another two on the back. And then he finished with a flourish, a long eagle putt on 18 that put him at -5, tied with Rickie Fowler for the lead.

It’s a long way to go for Woods and the rest of the field, but this is as good a start as one could expect.
