Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

BASEBALL

  • Alex Villicana allowed three hits while striking out six in 6.1 innings, Devon Wilkes got two outs to earn the win, and Pacifica scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Dos Pueblos 2-1 in a Channel League game. Byron Cibrian went 2 for 3 with a double, Ryan Reyes was 1 for 2 with an RBI, and Sal Lopez and Dario Navarro had hits for the Tritons (3-4-1, 1-1).

  • Caleb Sebek went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, including a walk-off single in the eighth inning, Josh Woodworth hit a homer and had two RBIs, Dash Lopez was 2 for 4 with a double, Wylan Nelson allowed three runs on five hits while striking out five without a walk in seven innings, and Shane Farrell struck out two in one inning of relief to lead Ventura (4-4, 2-0) to a 4-3 win over San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • Max Garcia allowed four hits and one unearned run while striking out five in six innings, Aldrian Higgins was 2 for 2 with two RBIs, Orlando Alvarez went 2 for 2 with an RBI, Mitchel Tarazon was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Carlos Rodriguez scored two runs to lead Oxnard (6-1, 2-0) to a 6-4 over Buena (0-7, 0-2) in a Channel League game.

  • Mario Franco went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Austin DeMelllo was 2 for 3 with a double, and Nick Rillo finished 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead Rio Mesa (5-2-1, 1-1) to an 8-5 victory over Santa Barbara in a Channel League game.

  • Tyler Kutsch was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Blake Wiltfang went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Luke Slater was 2 for 4 with a double, Max Brusca went 1 for 3 with an RBI, Henry Rizzotti was 1 for 4 with an RBI, and David Wan allowed one hit and no runs in 4.1 innings to lead Oak Park to a 7-5 victory over Malibu.

  • Max Peters was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Seth Slagiel finished 2 for 3 with an RBI for St. Bonaventure in its 5-5 tie with Foothill Tech. Adam Arth had a hit and two RBIs and Tristan Stehle had a double and an RBI for the Dragons.

SOFTBALL

  • Natalie Rodarte finished 3 for 5 with two RBIs, Baylany Magana went 2 for 2 with two RBIs, Alizsa Rosas was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Shyanne Saxton was 1 for 2 with two RBIs, and Layla Mukul went 1 for 3 with two RBIs to lead Oxnard (5-3, 2-0) to an 11-8 win over Buena in a Channel League game.

  • JJ Claycamp pitched four innings for the win, Isabella Sotello pitched three innings for the save, Cali Howe was 1 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, Angelina Apodaca went 2 for 2 with a double, two walks and two runs scored, Alexa Gomez was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Delany Vazquez had an RBI and two walks, and Aubrey Aguirre was 1 for 2 to lead Camarillo (5-1) to a 5-2 victory over Thousand Oaks. Claire Kirby hit a home run, Faith Goldfield was 2 for 3 with a double, Morgan Casillas went 2 for 4 with a double, and Victoria Masters was 1 for 3 with an RBI for the Lancers.

  • Lidija Faubert went 2 for 3 with a double, home run and two RBIs, 2-3, 2B, HR, Josephine Gallo was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Ayzlinn Trefren was 2 for 3 with a double, Mrdah Murali went 2 for 4, and Kendall Diederich allowed two runs while striking out nine in a complete-game effort to lead Royal to a 3-2 victory over Agoura. Briona Ferdman went 2 for 4 with a solo homer and Mia Gomez was 2 for 3 with a double and a solo homer for the Chargers.

  • Emma Estrella struck out 12 in the circle and finished with three hits at the plate, Erika Sanchez had three hits, and Aryanne Munoz, Aleena Camacho, Makayla Balboa and Viviana Posadas each had two hits to lead Fillmore (5-3, 1-0) to a 10-0, six-inning win over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Moorpark defeated Mater Dei 2-1 and lost to JSerra 5-4 at the Dave Kops Tournament in Bullhead City, Ariz. In the win, Madison Finnerty allowed two hits in seven innings and also hit a solo home, Ava McGowan was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, and Driana Martinez was 1 for 3 with a double. In the loss, Viviana Ramirez allowed two earned runs while striking out seven in seven innings and Sydney Burchard was 3 for 3 with three RBIs.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Buena defeated rival Ventura 25-23, 16-25, 20-25, 26-24, 15-10 in a Channel League match. For the Cougars, Fletcher Duffey finished with 30 digs, Scott Vreeland had nine kills and eight digs, and Theo Souther-Pasquarella had 17 assists and six digs.

  • Caiden Aguilar had eight kills, Mac Land had seven kills, and JP Mawas finished with 31 assists and three kills to lead Oxnard (2-2, 1-0) to a 25-10, 25-11, 25-10 sweep of Pacifica in a Channel League match.

  • Nikki Songco and Sinjon Laughton each had 11 kills, Niko Papanicolaou had seven kills, and Brody Gallagher had 10 digs to lead Oak Park to a 25-20, 25-23, 25-16 sweep of Westlake.

  • Titus Sandefur had 10 kills and Josh Supa had 11 digs to lead Agoura to a 25-14, 25-18, 24-26, 25-12 victory over Moorpark.

  • Oaks Christian lost to visiting Windward, 25-12, 25-10, 25-13.

BOYS GOLF

  • Adam Anderson fired a 7-under 65 to finish first overall and Brady McHenry was second with a 6-under 66 as Buena won the Ventura City Cup tournament with a team total of 437 at Olivas Links Golf Course. Matt Jones shot an 80 for second-place Ventura (441) and Eoin O'Neil had a 79 for third-place St. Bonaventure (462). Foothill Tech finished fourth with a 568.

  • Alex Chang and Parker Schurer each shot a 1-over 72 to lead Oak Park (1-1, 1-0) to a 429-430 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League match at Simi Hills Golf Course. Jack Mols shot a 79 for the Highlanders.

  • Jimmy Darwin shot an 81, Mathew Fisher and Dash Springer each shot an 82, Merrick Jacobus had an 83, and Curren Springer had an 84 to lead Thousand Oaks to a 412-424 win over Agoura at par-71 Sterling Hills Country Club. Cooper Greenwood was the medalist with an even-par round and Tanner Klein shot a 79 for the Chargers.

  • Morgan Wolff shot an 80, Tristan Shaw had an 81, and Rajveer Hundal had 82 to lead Camarillo to a 413-449 win over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League match at par-71 Spanish Hills Country Club. Anthony Nillson was the medalist with a 79 for the Pioneers.

  • Max Emberson shot a 73, Jared Abercrombie followed with a 74, and Nick Benton had a 75 for Oaks Christian in its 376-378 loss to San Marcos at Sandpiper Golf Course.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Kei Ohya swept his singles sets and Karthik Tholudur and Jason Kiang for swept their doubles sets to lead Newbury Park to a 12-6 victory over Foothill Tech.
