Three stabbed at Sports Authority Field

A stabbing that took place at Denver's Sports Authority Field after Thursday night's game between the Broncos and San Diego Chargers stemmed from a traffic dispute, according to police.

Denver police announced on a YouTube video that the stabbing occurred when a vehicle backing out of a parking space nearly hit another vehicle. It was not a dispute between Broncos and Chargers fans.

At least three people were stabbed. A fourth person, who may have been stabbed, left the scene without seeking treatment. The three known victims do not have life-threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old man was in custody on three counts of aggravated assault. Two other men were released pending further investigation.

The incident was called into police at about 9:55 p.m., after the Chargers beat the Broncos 27-20.

"Stadium Management Company is aware of an incident that occurred in a parking lot adjacent to Sports Authority Field at Mile High," the stadium's management said in a statement. "We are currently working with authorities to gather more information."

Two weeks ago, a fan died at Arrowhead Stadium when the Broncos played the Kansas City Chiefs. The cause of death in that case is not known.
