Texas Tech kicker Jonathan Garibay nails miraculous 62-yard field goal to beat Iowa State

After a furious Iowa State comeback tied the game at 38-all in the final minutes, Texas Tech drove the field with no timeouts for one final shot at winning the game before overtime.

The Cyclones' defense held firm, keeping Texas Tech from getting too far into ISU territory and stopping them at the Iowa State 45-yard line with three seconds to go. Iowa State even sent back a return man in the hopes of taking back a missed field goal attempt.

Seriously, what college kicker can hit a 62-yarder with the game on the line?

Texas Tech kicker Jonathan Garibay, that's who.

Garibay lined up and nailed a 62-yard field goal on the final play of regulation to beat Iowa State, 41-38.

The loss drops the Cyclones to 6-4 on the season (4-3 Big 12) and all but ends the hopes of a return trip to the Big 12 title game.
