Texas football will need to work the transfer portal to beef up defensive front | Davis

Vernon Broughton missed Saturday's Orange-White scrimmage because he was getting married, but Texas' senior defensive lineman will be back with the team when the real football games are played this fall.

But even with Broughton in the mix, Texas knows it needs more beef in the middle of its defensive line. Steve Sarkisian said as much in Saturday's postgame press conference.

Expect the Longhorns to attack that in the transfer portal in the coming months.
