Tennessee records five wins at Carolina Challenge

The Vols and Lady Vols combined to records five wins on the second day of the Carolina Challenge Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina.

Lady Vols’ graduate student Charisma Taylor won the women’s long jump with a leap of 6.44 meters (21 feet, 1.5 inches). The mark was one centimeter shy of her indoor personal best in the event, second best in the Southeastern Conference and fourth in the NCAA this season.

Tennessee mid-year enrollee Chelya Scott made her season debut Saturday in the women’s high jump. She recorded a victory in the event with two attempts (1.76 meters, 5-9.25).

Redshirt junior Chandler Hayden won the women’s weight throw for the Lady Vols.

Lady Vols’ freshman Suzan Ogunleye won the triple jump with a mark of 12.84 meters (42-01.50).

Redshirt junior Anthony Riley claimed a long jump title (7.61 meters, 24-11.75) for the Vols.
