Taylor Swift is in her football Era. Could a Tiverton High School game be her next stop?

Now that Taylor Swift is in her football fan era, a local coach has written an open letter on Facebook inviting her to cheer from the bleachers.

"I could not help but see you on television the last few weeks attending NFL football games," wrote Kenyon Thayer, one of the assistant coaches at Tiverton High School. "Now that I know you are a big football fan, I hope you will accept this invitation to a football game in one of your home states, Rhode Island, at the Tiverton High School."

The past two weekends, the internet has been flooded with headlines about Taylor Swift attending Kansas City Chiefs games to watch her rumored beau, tight end Travis Kelce. The frenzy has been good for business, with Kelce's jersey sales spiking 400% after the first game she attended and the most recent Chiefs-Jets game drawing an audience of 27 million people tuning in.

But based on Swift's reputation for wanting some peace, she might want the chance to enjoy a game and breathe away from the spotlight.

Given that she has a house in the state, a Friday night football game seems a good idea to Thayer.

Here's the Tiverton coach's pitch to get Taylor Swift to the game

One, this team is full of the type of people she likes.

"It is my understanding that you love people with lots of heart and that show love for each other," he wrote. "That is exactly the best way to describe the Tiverton High School football team, lots of heart and love for one another and the community that supports them."

Two, if she's interested in learning more about tight ends, their team has a "specific emphasis on tight end plays."

Three, she clearly loves touring, and just driving from Westerly to Tiverton is a chance for her to take a mini-tour of three New England states right as the leaves are turning red.

"If you are unfamiliar with Tiverton, it is uniquely located such that it doesn’t border any other part of Rhode Island, it is surrounded by the state of Massachusetts," Thayer wrote. "From your Rhode Island home, you may need to briefly travel into Connecticut, back to RI, through a portion of MA, then back into RI. A very nice and easy three-state tour, just like you enjoy."

(Editor's note: Tiverton does indeed border Little Compton, which is also a Rhode Island town – in fact, maybe Taylor would like to stop by there, too.)

And four, he's willing to pay for the tickets if she wants to watch from the bleachers. He'll even pay for some of her squad to come watch.

"In case the ticket price is of concern, I will leave an envelope with money to cover your ticket, and enough for three members of your squad," he wrote. "If you bring additional friends, I am happy to cover their admission as well, just let the gatekeeper know that I will pay them after the game."

Thayer wrote the letter as a bit of fun after seeing all the media coverage, and it didn't hurt that his son, who plays on the Tiverton Tigers, thought it would be cool.

"However, I am also dead serious about inviting her. How much fun would it be to have her attend a small-town game?" he said when interviewed.

So Taylor, or more likely someone on your team, to sum it up, the Tiverton Tigers think you belong with them as a fan in the bleachers. Their next home game is Friday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., which conveniently is while you are on break from your Eras Tour before it resumes in November in Argentina.

They could patiently wait, but they really hope you will drop everything now and meet them at the stadium.
