Steph Curry had words with Scott Foster following Warriors loss

Steph Curry has revealed he shared some thoughts with Scott Foster following the Golden State Warriors loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday (Nov. 22.) Foster had become the focal point of the Warriors contest after he ejected Chris Paul late in the second round by issuing two quick technicals, and then issuing Steve Kerr a technical for his opposition to the decision.

When speaking to the media during his post-game press conference, Curry noted how he felt Paul’s ejection wasn’t justified. The star guard explained that both Paul and Foster were talking to each other before the situation escalated.

“I think we were down double-digits already; we obviously needed CP and his leadership with the way he manages the game,” Curry said. “I don’t like and appreciate…I know there’s history and all that…When both the player and the ref engage in conversation, it has to kind of stay there. I told Scott that after he ejected him. There are certain situations when players overstep. It happens a lot…When both are engaging, I don’t like that. That’s the part that messed with me. When I was watching it, it was two guys talking, speaking their truths. Let’s just play basketball.”

Golden State has struggled throughout the month of November. Being forced into a short-handed situation for the second half of a game against a fellow Western Conference contender was far from ideal.

The Warriors will look to bounce back from their latest loss when they face the San Antonio Spurs on Friday (Nov 24.)
