After torturous offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers are finally going to play football in a month. Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is entering his fourth season and he put out this hype video on social media on Saturday to get everyone pumped up for the start of the season.
Smith-Schuster has a ton to play for this season. After catching 111 passes in 2018, Smith-Schuster suffered through his worst NFL season in 2019. Additionally, Smith-Schuster is in the final year of his rookie contract is needs to bounceback from a 42-reception effort to increase his value on the free-agent market.
There will be critics of Smith-Schuster who will question his motives with this and everything else he does off the field. Many fans feel like if a player doesn’t anything publicly that isn’t all about football, the player isn’t loyal.
