Steelers don't plan to cut Polamalu
The Pittsburgh Steelers have no plans to cut veteran safety Troy Polamalu.
However, the defensive standout is a candidate for a restructured contract.
The Steelers want to lower his $10.8 million salary-cap figure.
The Steelers are over the salary cap by roughly $15 million.
They also have a $9.754 million salary-cap figure for transition player Jason Worilds.
Polamalu is one of the top defensive players in Steelers franchise history.
