All-Star games scheduled for Friday, April 19 in the Sanford Pentagon at Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS — Nine area seniors have been selected to play in the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Assocaition-Pentagon All-Star Basketball Games on Friday, April 19.

The boys will play at 6 p.m. and the girls at 8 p.m. in the Sanford Pentagon. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Player of the Year candidates will be unveiled daily on the Sanford Sports Complex social media channels beginning on Monday, April 8. Winners will be announced at halftime of each game.

Dylon Rawdon of Watertown, Lane Tvedt of Castlewood, Layne Cotton of Faulkton Area, Alec Squires of Sioux Valley, Lane Tietz of Groton Area, George Jensen of De Smet, Maxwell Engebretson of Sioux Valley and Tyson Stevenson of Hamlin will play in the boys' game and Caylin Kelly of Florence-Henry the girls' game.

Players include Rawdon, Tvedt, Cotton, Squires, Nicolas Marshall of White River, Gavin Soukup of Mitchell, Matt Anderson of Canton, Daniel Mitchell of Gregory, Jacob Mehrman of Harrisburg and Tage Ortman of Canistota.

Ryker Kreutzfeldt of Mitchell is the head coach and Cole Knippling of Parkston the assistant.

Kyle Courtney of Rapid City Christian is the head coach and Cody Lawrence of Timber Lake the assistant.
