SJCA's Brabham, Robison repeat as girls doubles champs as Patriots win TAPPS tennis title

The San Jacinto girls tennis double tandem of Harlie Brabham and Blayne Robison won their second consecutive TAPPS 3A State Championship in dominant fashion at the Waco Regional Tennis Center April 17-18.

The duo dropped six games throughout the tournament run, to repeat as girls doubles champions.

Brabham and Robison's win, combined with a third-place finish from Skyla Brabham and Alayna Daniel pushed SJCA to a repeat win as TAPPS 3A state champions in girls tennis.

Before last season, the Patriots had never claimed a girls doubles state title. Brabham and Robison topped Live Oak Classical's Julia Pitts-Audrey Pahmiyer 6-3, 6-0 to repeat as state champions.

The boys team also brought home a state championship as Cody Wester and Zephan Morgan combined to win the boys doubles crown.

Wester and Morgan won their draw in straight sets in the final, topping Pahmiyer/Coburn of Live Oack Classical 6-3, 6-2.

The Patriots boys finished third in the overall team standings.
