Livingston Academy's Wyatt Hargis captures Tennessean's boys athlete of the week
Wyatt Hargis captured the La-Z-Boy Furniture boys athlete of the week for Jan. 1-6 after collecting the most total votes during this week's poll.
The Livingston Academy basketball standout captured 4,374 votes and 51.6% of the boys total (8,463). Hargis beat out Franklin's Davis Long who finished second with 2,748 votes. Green Hill's Amtjuan Welch finished third with 1,193.
Hargis scored 21 points in a 52-35 win over Cumberland County last Friday. He had another 21 points in a 69-40 win over Warren County last Tuesday.
