Series recap: Slow starts are becoming a habit: For the sixth consecutive series, the Jumbo Shrimp lost their opening game and went on to drop their first six games of the road series against the Durham Bulls. The latest skid has dropped Jacksonville to near the bottom of the International League East, ahead of only the Syracuse Mets.

Highlight: Peyton Burdick homered in the fifth inning to highlight Sunday's 3-1 win over the Bulls, snapping the losing streak at six games. That was more than enough to earn the win for Trevor Rogers, who held Durham to one hit and one walk in five shutout innings during a rehab start.

Crustacean sensation: Amid a team-wide slump, outfielder Brian Miller has stayed productive. He went 3 for 3 with a double in Thursday's loss and was the only Jacksonville batter to record a hit in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader. The veteran is hitting .282 with 16 stolen bases on the year.

On deck: The Sounds, affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers, are among a host of teams huddled around the .500 mark in the IL West. Former Arlington Country Day School catcher Brian Navarreto is on the Nashville roster, as is infielder Eddy Alvarez, who represented the United States at the Tokyo Olympics while with the Jumbo Shrimp. Nashville's top-rated player is outfielder Sal Frelick, ranked by MLB.com as Milwaukee's No. 2 prospect, although he has been on the injured list since April 20.

Ballpark fun: London is the home away from home for the Jaguars next door, so for the Jumbo Shrimp, why not try a dash of Dublin? That One Night in Dublin arrives Saturday at the ballpark, with an evening of Irish food, drink and music. The usual Friday night fireworks will get an extra twist this Friday, with sparklers on the basepaths after each inning.

Probable pitchers Tuesday: To be determined.
