Sheboygan North team, individuals Aiden Cudney, Winston Knobloch, Spencer Lynch lead at state golf after first round

KOHLER – Sheboygan North and several individuals have put themselves in position to win state titles after the first round of the WIAA boys state golf championships Monday on the Meadow Valleys course at Blackwolf Run.

Sheboygan North shot a total of 296 and leads Division 1 teams. Eau Claire Memorial is in second at 304.

Aiden Cudney of Kimberly shot a 3-under-par 69 and is tied for the individual lead with Parker Etzel of Eau Claire Memorial in Division 1.

Rasmus Madsen of Appleton North is one shot behind after shooting 70. Hogan Miller of Sheboygan North and Jack Weisenberger of De Pere are tied for fifth at 73, and Mason Schmidtke and Roberto Reyes of Sheboygan North are tied for seventh at 74.

In Division 2, defending champion Winston Knobloch of Winneconne shot 72 and leads by one shot over Andrew Kettle of Sheboygan Falls and Alex Weiss of Edgewood. Dawson Fish of Xavier shot 75 and is tied for fourth.

In Division 3, Spencer Lynch of St. Mary Catholic shot 76 and leads by one shot over Cooper McLaughlin of Lourdes/Valley Christian, Reece Breitenbach of Kohler and Kian Bystol-Flores of Cambridge.
