SEE IT: Mets welcome Tigers' Mark Canha back to Citi Field with tribute video

The Mets welcomed Mark Canha back to Citi Field with a tribute video played before the first pitch of Monday’s series-opening game against the Detroit Tigers.

Canha received a warm reception from the Queens faithful, and he saluted the crowd and tipped his cap.

The ex-Met also spent some time pregame catching up with former teammates Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso.

After signing with the Mets in free agency ahead of the 2022 season, Canha batted .266 with a .770 OPS, socking 13 home runs with 61 RBI in 140 games for the 101-win ballclub. The veteran outfielder also led the league with 28 hit-by-pitches, much to then-manager Buck Showalter's constant dismay.

New York dealt Canha to the Milwaukee Brewers just ahead of the Aug. 1 MLB trade deadline last season. The Mets received right-handed pitcher Justin Jarvis in the deal. The 24-year-old is currently with Tripe-A Syracuse.

In total, he played 229 games for the club over parts of two seasons. Canha posted a .259/.349/.395 slash line with a .754 OPS for an above-average 114 OPS+ with 39 doubles, 19 home runs and 90 RBI with the Mets.

Canha was dealt from the Brewers to the Tigers in November.
