See former Penn State football walk-on Dom DeLuca score a touchdown vs. Delaware
STATE COLLEGE — He's kind of come all the way now, this former Penn State football walk-on.
First, Dom DeLuca earned his Nittany Lion scholarship at the Rose Bowl.
Then he was named a team captain and earned the coveted "zero" jersey as a special teams leader.
Then this: Deluca picked off a Delaware pass at the 26-yard line Saturday and sprinted untouched into the end zone. The melting Beaver Stadium crowd awakened and roared for the home state hero with a few minutes left in the third quarter of a game long decided.
The redshirt sophomore from West Pittston put an early exclamation point on Penn State's pending victory. His score made it 56-3.

DeLuca, a backup linebacker, had a sack in the opening victory over West Virginia.
Last year he made a name for himself with his hustle and all-over-the-field pursuit. He made 29 tackles (18 solo), two tackles for loss, a sack, a pass breakup, two quarterback hurries and blocked the team's first punt in three years.
