Score predictions for No. 7 Texas vs. TCU

No. 7 Texas has everything to play for at this point in the season.

If the Longhorns are able to win the remaining games on their schedule and take home the Big 12 title, a path to the College Football Playoff is likely. However, Texas must take one game at a time.

TCU will be looking to spoil Texas’ season in Week 11. Fortunately for the Longhorns, starting quarterback Quinn Ewers is set to return. It’s unclear if Ewers is 100%, but he will certainly provide a threat in the passing game regardless.

Prior to Ewers return, media members were predicting a close game. Once Steve Sarkisian announced that Ewers would start against TCU, the score predictions became heavily favored in Texas’ favor.

Here’s a look at score predictions for Texas-TCU on Saturday.

Prediction: Texas 38, TCU 24

This is a matchup the Longhorns should win, despite potentially not having Ewers back at 100% coming off the shoulder injury. Texas has the edge in the trenches on both sides of the ball and better skill talent. Prediction: Texas 27, TCU 24

TCU is going to need to find a way to limit Jonathon Brooks and CJ Baxter if they have any hope of winning this game, and I think they’ll do just enough to stay in it. However, a late mistake from Josh Hoover will seal a Texas victory, as the Longhorns escape Fort Worth with a three-point victory and keep pace to make the Big 12 Championship and their hopes for a College Football Playoff berth alive. – Bryan Clinton
