Rutgers football: Keenan Reid invited to New York Jets rookie camp

Rutgers football defensive back Keenan Reid has been invited to the New York Jets rookie minicamp this month.

Reid will participate in the May rookie minicamp and hope to catch-on with the team for further offseason workouts and then training camp later this summer.

At the Rutgers Pro Day in March, Reid checked in at 5-foot-9 and 183 pounds. He was among the event’s best performers, posting a strong 40-inch vertical along with impressive time in the 3-cone shuttle (7.15) and 4.21 time in the 20-yard shuttle.

His first time in the 40-yard dash was a 4.5. He followed that up on his next run with an impressive 4.41, the fastest of the day for any Rutgers athlete.

Reid spent three seasons with Rutgers. He was twice named All-Academic Big Ten.
