Rookie Wire mock draft has Nets selecting Nikola Jovic at No. 23

The Brooklyn Nets are in line to select 23rd overall in the 2022 NBA draft next month, though the organization has a decision to make.

The Nets own an unprotected first-rounder from the Philadelphia 76ers from the James Harden trade, but that pick can be delayed until 2023. Brooklyn will have to decide whether or not to take the pick in this year by June 1.

In Rookie Wire’s latest 2022 mock draft, Cody Taylor projects the Nets to draft Nikola Jovic from Serbia.

Jovic, a 6-foot-11 forward, is considered to be one of the best international prospects in the class of 2022.

Via Rookie Wire:

Jovic, who was born in Serbia, averaged 12 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists with KK Mega Basket in the Adriatic League. He shot 41.4% from the field, including 31.5% from 3-point range, in 29 total games this season. He can space the floor and has also shown promise as a ballhandler and rebounder. He has been on the NBA radar for some time and even received votes as the best international player by GMs. He may need some time to develop but could step in from time to time to help the Nets out of the gate.”
