Report: Titans’ Treylon Burks ‘labored’ through some pre-draft workouts

Since taking the practice field with the Tennessee Titans, 2022 first round pick and wide receiver Treylon Burks has had issues staying on the field, apparently due to lackluster conditioning.

First we saw him unable to finish a rookie minicamp practice, and then during the first week of organized team activities, Burks once again saw issues staying on the field.

This issue is reportedly nothing new for Burks.

According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, Burks had “weight issues” ahead of the draft and “labored to get through some” of his private workouts, which were red flags for teams.

One name to watch as minicamps approach: Titans rookie Treylon Burks. A couple weeks ago, we went over his weight issue in the MAQB, and how it was there for some pre-draft private workouts. I’ve also heard he labored to get through some of those, which was a red flag for certain teams. We’ll see what sort of shape he’s gotten himself into since.

While we remain optimistic about Burks’ future and aren’t close to hitting the panic button yet, the fact that the issues he’s having now are a trend dating back to before the draft is no doubt a bit troubling.

All eyes will continue to be on Burks when the Titans continue their OTAs this week (May 31-June 2).
