Report: Personal items stolen from UConn men’s basketball team bus during NCAA Tournament practice

LAS VEGAS – After already dealing with a last-minute hotel change because of several rooms not being sufficiently cleaned from previous guests, the UConn men’s basketball team had personal items stolen off its bus during a practice Tuesday on the University of Las Vegas campus, a team source confirmed.

As first reported by Hearst CT, several personal items, including Donovan Clingan’s iPad and a team manager’s laptop, were taken when the team was inside the practice facility. Other items, like hats, were also stolen.

Clingan reportedly was able to track his iPad using an app on his phone. The team contacted local police and filed a report.

Meanwhile, the Huskies are preparing for the program’s 12th Elite Eight appearance where they will face No. 3-seed Gonzaga on Saturday night, the game set to start at 8:49 p.m.
