Report: Pelicans' Allen (fibula) out 2-4 more weeks

After missing the past 12 games recovering from a fibula fracture, New Orleans Pelicans guard Tony Allen experienced a setback and will miss another two to four weeks, according to a Fox Sports report.

Allen, 36, missed four games in November with a knee issue and then left a Dec. 10 game against the Philadelphia 76ers after one minute of action. He was diagnosed Dec. 12 with a non-displaced left proximal fibula fracture, an injury that occurs just below the knee joint. He was given a recovery timetable of three to four weeks at the time.

The 13-year veteran signed a one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Pelicans over the summer after spending the previous seven seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.

A long-time defensive ace, Allen is averaging 4.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.5 steals in 14.5 minutes per game this season, all career lows. He has suited up in 22 of New Orleans' 39 games.
