Report: NBA suspends Draymond Green indefinitely after incident with Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic

On Tuesday night, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected in the third quarter after striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face while battling for position on an inbound pass. After hitting Nurkic, Green was assessed a flagrant two foul on review and ejected.

Following his third ejection in 23 games, the former Defensive Player of the Year has been suspended for the second time this season. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the NBA suspended Green indefinitely.

Earlier this season, Green was suspended for five games after choking Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in the opening minutes of their contest at Chase Center on Nov. 14. Green was also ejected for an altercation with Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell.

This will be the sixth time Green has been suspended in his career. Green is ranked second in NBA history and is the leader among active players with 19 ejections in his 11-year career.

Green has played 15 games in the 2023-24 season, averaging 9.7 points on 49.0% shooting from the field to go along with 5.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds.
