Report: Grizzlies, F Wright progressing toward buyout
The Memphis Grizzlies and forward Brandan Wright are expected to reach agreement on a buyout that could come as soon as Friday night, according to a report from ESPN.
The report adds that the Houston Rockets are the frontrunners to land Wright once he clears waivers.
Wright is in the final season of the three-year, $18 million deal he signed with the Grizzlies in 2015. The 30-year-old is averaging 5.0 points and 3.4 assists in 27 games (one start) with Memphis this season.
For his career, Wright has averaged 7.0 points and 3.6 rebounds in 427 games.
