Raptors interested in trading for Clippers' Bledsoe

The Toronto Raptors are the latest team interested in trading for Los Angeles Clippers backup point guard Eric Bledsoe, according to ESPN.com.

The Raptors reportedly are openly shopping forward Andrea Bargnani and would likely include him in a deal involving Bledsoe. However, the Clippers are believed to be more interested in guard DeMar DeRozan.

Toronto may be willing to let go of DeRozan and his $40 million contract extension, especially since the team has Rudy Gay, another swingman.

The Orlando Magic were earlier interested in Bledsoe and may resume interest. The Detroit Pistons are also reportedly coveting Bledsoe.

With Doc Rivers taking over as the Clippers coach, it is believed that point guard Chris Paul will re-sign with the team. Rivers has indicated he would like to keep Bledsoe as Paul's backup.

However, the Clippers may not be able to afford Bledsoe in the long-term, increasing the chances he could be dealt.

Bledsoe averaged 8.5 points, 3.1 assists and 1.43 steals last season.
