Rams DT has the perfect answer to Jeff Fisher question

Kristine Leahy wanted authentic for her new Fox Sports 1 show “Fair Game” and got it with Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Michael Brockers.

The Rams (8-0) hold the only undefeated record in the NFL going into Week 9 under second-year coach Sean McVay. They were 11-5 last year, a vivid change from their years with Jeff Fisher.

Leahy, naturally, wanted to know how many wins the Rams would have if Fisher were still there. And Brockers, who played all five, gave an answer that was quite on brand.

“Man … I don’t know, 7-9?”

We certainly wouldn’t bet against you.

Fisher coached the Rams for five years, the first four in St. Louis, before the team fired him late in the 2016 season.

His record those years:

2012: 7-8-1 (basically 7-9)

2013: 7-9

2014: 6-10 (so close)

2015: 7-9

2016: 4-9 (he made true on his promise during HBO’s “Hard Knocks” to avoid going 7-9)

Brockers added that he loved Fisher, who coached for 22 years to a record of 173-165, but the team feel is different.

“I just think the accountability, the accountability as far as everyone being on the same page, having just really strict core values of what this game is all about and what we’re all about,” he said. “I think we didn’t have [it then] and I think that’s what we have now with Sean McVay. We have the same players, it’s just a different atmosphere.”
