Puka Nacua sustained shoulder injury in win over Seahawks, considered day-to-day

Puka Nacua had another productive performance for the Los Angeles Rams in the Week 11 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, but he picked up an injury in the process. Following Sunday’s win, Sean McVay revealed that Nacua suffered a shoulder injury and he’s considered day-to-day.

The rookie wideout sustained the shoulder injury on a play where he drew a pass-interference call in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s contest. Rookie Devon Witherspoon committed the pass interference on Nacua in a third-and-goal situation with a little over eight minutes remaining in the game, which allowed Darrell Henderson Jr. to punch it in from the 1-yard line to make the score 16-14.

Besides Nacua, Cooper Kupp also suffered an injury in the win over the Seahawks. The All-Pro pass catcher had his ankle stepped on in the first half, and he’s since been diagnosed with a sprained ankle and is also day-to-day.

When Kupp was sidelined for four weeks to begin the season, Nacua had a historic start to his rookie season, allowing the offense to still be an effective unit. Given Kupp’s recent injury history, the Rams will likely be cautious with his return, making Nacua even more important in the aerial attack.

Ahead of a Week 12 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, we’ll have to keep tabs on the statuses of Kupp and Nacua.
