Predicting the Steelers starting offense in 2022

After a fast start, the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to have settled in from free agency and have turned their attention toward the 2022 NFL draft. Pittsburgh added several big pieces on offense already with at least one more to go. Here is our updated prediction for the Steelers starting offense in 2022. Spoiler alert: It’s not great news for Kendrick Green.

QB-Mitch Trubisky

Trubisky was signed as a free agent and could flourish in this offense.

After finishing No. 4 in the NFL in rushing as a rookie, the sky is the limit for Harris.

We include Watt here, although he should rarely see the field.

WR-Diontae Johnson

Johnson had a breakout season in 2021 and should be even better this season.

WR-Chase Claypool

The Steelers let three receivers walk in free agency leaving Claypool in a position for a breakout season.

WR-Rookie TBD

Look for a rookie to fill this third spot. I personally love Skyy Moore here as a deep threat who can line up in the slot.

Another talented player set for a huge second season.

LT-Dan Moore

Moore played well enough as the starting left tackle last season to win the job again this time around.

LG-Kevin Dotson

This might be the last shot for Dotson as he tries to hold off Kendrick Green.

C-James Daniels

Daniels could start at center or guard but I want the team’s best lineman in the middle running the show.

RG-Mason Cole

There’s always a chance Green beats out Cole here but the newcomer’s experience should win out.

The Steelers paid Okorafor to come back and start and like Moore has no competition for the job.
