Pre-NCAA Tournament USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll slots Iowa Hawkeyes at No. 2
Everything that the Iowa Hawkeyes have set as goals is right in front of them and about to get underway as the NCAA Tournament is a short few days from tipping off.
The No. 1 seed Iowa Hawkeyes are hosting the winner of No. 16 seeds UT Martin and Holy Cross with No. 8 West Virginia and No. 9 Princeton making up the rest of the quadrant. Excitement is high for Iowa as both sessions hosted in Carver-Hawkeye Arena sold out rapidly.
Like the AP Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Poll did, the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll has slotted the Hawkeyes at No. 2 in the country ahead of the tournament.
Ahead of Iowa remains undefeated No. 1 South Carolina as they are the overall top seed in the NCAA Tournament. Other No. 1 seeds, Texas and USC, come in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectfully, in the poll.
