Congratulations to last week's athlete of the week winner: Margaret Bartlow of North Bay Haven.

This past week we saw Bozeman win the Bay County baseball championship and sever gold medalists in track district meets. There were many standout performances and the athletes listed were determined by a culmination of coaches nominations and researched game performances.

Athlete of the Week Nominations

Shaniyah Carlos, Mosley

Carlos made history again in the 100 meters, breaking her own school record (12.33) and ran 12.30 finishing third at at the Class 3A District 2 track meet. The sophomore finished second in the 200m (25.52) and fifth in the 4x100 (49.48).

Kaycee McLellan, Arnold

The multisport athlete earned gold in the District 2 javelin throw (31.46m) and hit two home runs on the softball fields to help the Marlins earn two wins this past week.

Wesley Tilghman, Mosley

The senior earned gold in the javelin throw (46.99m) and fifth in discus (36.36m).

Margaret Bartlow, North Bay Haven

Bartlow defended her long-distance district titles, this time winning gold with faster times in the 1,600 (5:09.64) and 3,200 (10:56.66)

Jevon Hamilton, Rutherford

Hamilton had another strong performance at the district meet with gold in the long jump (6.81m) and silver in the 100m (10.94) and 200m (22.52).

Charles Baldwin, North Bay Haven

The junior took home gold in the 800 (2:06.21), 4x800 (8:42.57) and silver in the 4x400 (3:36.20).

Ally Brady, North Bay Haven

Brady made history by breaking North Bay Haven's single-season hits record with 44 and counting. Brady went 4-for-7 at the plate in two games this past week.

Trey Power, Bozeman

Power pitched a complete game, throwing eight strikeouts, allowing three hits and two runs in a 3-2 comeback victory over Arnold.

Austin Hendrix, Arnold

In two games, Hendrix went 5-for-7 at the plate, hitting two home runs in the 10-0 victory over Rutherford.
